About Recruitment Details
The Reserve Bank of India invites applications for its Summer Placement Programme, offering students practical exposure to central banking through research projects under expert guidance. The placement normally lasts up to three months between April and July 2027, with a maximum of 200 students selected annually. Trainees must work at the designated RBI centre corresponding to their institution's location, subject to RBI's discretion. Outstation trainees must arrange their own accommodation and submit a declaration of secrecy before joining.

- Exam Date: January–February 2027 (Interviews for shortlisted candidates)
- Result Date: February–March 2027
- Salary / Stipend: ₹25,000 per month; eligible outstation trainees may receive AC II Tier return rail fare reimbursement for the placement.
Eligibility Criteria
Indian students studying in India in the penultimate year of postgraduate or integrated five-year courses in Management, Statistics, Law, Commerce, Economics, Econometrics, Banking or Finance. Students pursuing a three-year full-time LL.B. degree are also eligible.

Photograph, Signature, College Authorisation Letter/Bonafide Certificate, Academic Details and other documents required in the online application.
Application Procedure
Apply online between 15 October and 15 December 2026. Candidates can select only one Control Office based on their institution's location. Incomplete applications may be rejected.
